Unbox#
On the morning of August 14, 2022, I just woke up and received a message from the express locker. Can I bear it? I quickly went downstairs to pick up the package and unbox it.
To be honest, I was quite surprised by the packaging of the product. It turned out to be a sleek and simple round box, not a cardboard box with a paper cutout of a person. This design reminded me of the headphone case packaging from a neighboring company. ((
The back of the packaging displays some data and the SN code of the product.
I always thought that this round box should be quite small, after all, the product itself is not large. But when I received it, I found that it was bigger than I imagined, about the size of a CD. Since I couldn't find a disc at hand, I compared it with the rotating disc of a CD player.
When I opened the box, there was black sponge padding, a Type-C to USB-A adapter, and the main body of the product. When I lifted the sponge padding, there was a promotional card for Shuiyueyu and the "Do Not Read" series.

The appearance of the 3.5mm and 4.4mm versions of the product is slightly different, with the former being square and the latter being round. This design is probably to facilitate the distinction for those who bought both versions.
The front of the main body has a silver Shuiyueyu logo and an LED indicator light. Unfortunately, I don't have a macro lens and my photography skills are not good, so I can't take a good picture to show everyone. 😭
As for the cable, the product uses high-purity silver-plated copper wire arranged in parallel. The transparent design is deeply loved by me. Don't you think it's cool? As a beginner in the audio world, I think it's really cool!
The Type-C interface is printed with "MOONDROP Technology, Ltd" to show its identity.

In terms of specifications, the product adopts a dual decoding chip design and is equipped with two CS43131 chips to provide powerful driving force. I won't go into details here, but if you are interested, you can read the articles on Shiting or the product details page.
In terms of functionality, Shuiyueyu has its own Moondrop Link app to set various functions of the product. Future functions can also be supported through firmware updates, and the overall experience is satisfactory.
As a HiFi product, the most important thing is, of course, the sound quality. As I said, I plugged it in and started listening!
As soon as I pressed the play button, I was shocked. The power is amazing! It has enough driving force to fully meet the needs of the few earphones I have. The design of being able to switch between high and low gain settings is probably to meet the needs of most earphones on the market.
The sound of the product is pure, transparent, with almost zero background noise, clear details, and authentic reproduction, giving the earphones ample room to perform. In simple terms, it sounds very fresh and delicious, a feast for the ears!

For only 349 yuan, you can get the 3.5mm version of the product. I think this price is quite reasonable and worth considering for a product in the 300-400 yuan price range.
